Dinner Dates
Grand Haven is looking to get together with the North Bank communities. This idea was in the works two years ago. Grand Haven is working on a couple of possible dates. More to follow on your next agenda.

Donation of Grandfather Clock
The Rotary Club took a tour last week and we talked about the historic lobby area. President Paul Winter called back this week and said Rotary is offering to provide the grandfather clock. I said that would be very welcome!

New Resident Welcome
February 26 at 4: 30 PM at Barber School. This is a new experimental program followed by a Village Hall tour.

Downtown Snow Removal
This snow got moved in the wee hours of Sunday when traffic was virtually nil.

Park and Recreation Plan Delivery
This plan was hand delivered to Lansing on Friday. I will hear in a week whether it was approved.
Although fewer than half of the grant requests that follow these plans are approved, I feel we have a good chance on the Lakeside Trail project. The request is due by April 1. I will put on your next agenda whether you want me to apply for completion of the Lakeside Trail.

If submitted and approved, the funds would become available in August, 2005 for fall 2005 construction. The TIF fund would provide the requisite match. Two of the property owners have provided easement approval. I am meeting with the others shortly.

Village Hall Construction Update
All is going smoothly with no major changes.

The exception is moving the old window to be opposite the new one. The pricing came back. It looks a little exorbitant to me ($2,500). I would like to explore other ways to do it. I will put on your next Council meeting agenda for review and/or a decision to postpone.

More Donations for Village Hall History Project
Two hundred more dollars were received this week from Bob Lucking and Bill and Diana Wipperfurth.

Pre-Owned Country Club Chairs
Their chairs match the woodwork at Barber School. They are needing to sell up to 100 that are no longer going to be used. They were originally purchased for $375 and the same model chair is now sold new over $550. I expressed an interest in purchasing some of them for Barber School since they would fit in so well and would save needing to move the cushions around.

They called back and said they would donate seven chairs for the Council desk area. All we would need to do is to reupholster them. I am getting prices on it.
