introduced herself to the Village Council.

Consent Agenda
A.
Approved the payment of the bills in the amount of
$187,447.26.
B.
Approved the minutes
of the May 3, 2004 meeting.
C.
Accepted the
low bid from Jack Doheny Supplies, Inc. of Northville, Michigan for a
replacement trailer- mounted Sewer Jet in the amount of $24,500.
D.
Approved the reappointment of Art Bolt to
the Lloyd's Bayou Lake Board until May 1, 2005.
On a motion by
Fischer, support from Hall, the Village Council approved the Consent Agenda as
presented.

Report by the Village Manager
A. Approved a supplemental water supply contract
between the City of Grand Rapids and the Ottawa County Road Commission and
authorized the President and Village Clerk/Treasurer to execute.
Summary: This supplemental contract was necessary to
purchase water from Grand Rapids, such as was routinely needed in the summer
and until the intake system was functioning as designed.
On a
motion by Hall, support from VanStrate, the Village Council
approved the supplemental water supply contract between the City of Grand
Rapids and the Ottawa County Road Commission and authorized the President and
Village Clerk/Treasurer to execute.

B. Approved June 23, 2004 as Business Recognition Day.
Joy Gausch from the Chamber of Commerce introduced
Ed Garner a new Chamber employee to the Village Council. Ed talked about the importance of Business
Recognition Day to the area and how it shows the spirit of cooperation among
the local municipalities and that government does care about local businesses.
On a motion by Fischer, support from Holland, the
Village Council approved a proclamation from the Chamber of Commerce to
designate June 23, 2004 as Business Recognition Day in the Village of Spring
Lake.

Reports by the Village Council:
Council member VanStrate
asked if the yield sign coming north out of Mill Point Park could be changed to a stop sign for
safety reasons. Manager Cotton said
that he would speak
to Chief DeYoung about the matter.
