Re: Council Information Letter
Mill Point Band Shell Ground Breaking: The hole was dug today and the forms readied for concrete on Monday. The Rotary Club is getting ready to begin assembly at the end of next week. It will hopefully be done by Heritage Festival.
First Concert:
About 70 people attended. The Boy Scouts provided help with the
popcorn. Adam, intern from the Police
Department, and Nolan Converse helped with the popsicles. Travis Welling from Public Services did nice
job coordinating it all.
Ambulance Committee:
Bill Filber attended and reported back that Life EMS did a
presentation and the Hospital is on deck for June 9th. I will e-mail out the minutes for your
information.
Hydrant Turning Program: This program will begin in earnest in late-June. It will take
about a month. We will begin after the
Heritage Festival.
East Savidge Lights and Brick Wall: The brightness of the lights was evaluated Wednesday night and deemed satisfactory. The wall on the east side is being built in a way that preserves the most trees possible (it was jogged a bit). All else is on schedule.
Mowing at Central Park Not Up to Par: A number of parties share in this mowing. I am hopeful of getting the signals straightened out this week.
North Bank Follow-up Meeting: Can you let me know if you will be
attending the next North Bank meeting on this Thursday, June 9 at 4:00 PM at
Barber School? The Village is
purchasing refreshments.
Additional Agenda Items: A resolution for Business of the Year will be added to the agenda. Also, Ottawa County wanted our concurrence on paying our share of $170 for wireless contractual planning services. I said OK but that I would check with you also. Lastly, the Rotary Club would like me to join. I did not include it in the budget. If you want me to join, next year this time might be better for finances. I will bring up at the meeting for you to let me know.
