Thursday at the Point Rained Out:
It was cancelled tonight. Next week a rain location at Barber School for each one rained out will be publicized.

Taste of the North Bank:
Jack's, Old Boy's, Cantina Grill, Mama Mia's, Stans, DeLass Farm Market, Prueblo, the Fish House, Subway and possibly two or three others will be bringing food to help celebrate and to showcase the culinary arts on the North Bank. Maribeth is getting a cake with a rendering of Village Hall on the top.

Ice Cream Scoopers and Family Fun Night on Wednesday:
Maribeth has lined this up. All we need are the scoopers! Megan and I will provide support. Scooping starts at 6:00 PM. Four scoops will be available, clean-up materials will be provided; and we asked that the ice cream not be as hard as last year.

Who would like to come to the Chamber Business Recognition Lunch?
It is June 23, 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM. Please jot me a line when you read this and let me know.ryan@springlakevillage.org.

BASH at Old Boy's:
The Chamber is hosting their monthly party and featuring Old Boy's this month. Thursday, June 17 at 5:00 PM.

The Move Back Has Been Smooth:
Once again, my hat is off to all our great staff that made the move pleasant and successful. Kristie accomplished a merger of our phone and e-mail systems. Doug and his crew provided numerous quick responses to dozens of details at a moment's notice. This was on top of their other spring and summer busy duties. Jim Whitwam is providing a little extra TLC to mounting and framing the picture of the Home Café and the old window.

Village Hall Refinements:
The parking lot puddle was altered. The angle parking is being installed. The van accessible parking is being adjusted. The large photo of the Home Café is in with the lighting behind it. The enlarged historic photos are going up. Rotary Club's donated grandfather clocks arrived today.

Architectural Fees Lower Than Expected:
FTCH's final bill is on the way. The final total is less than contractually approved, for a savings of $2,227.

Bunting on Village Hall for July 4th? :
This was a suggestion from Councilmember Fischer recently. It sounds fascinating to me. I am getting pricing and see how it could be hung easily. If not this year, maybe next. Anyone you know interested in making a donation?

Fire Study Meeting:
See this week's packet for copies of the newspaper stories that accurately reported on the outcome. No follow-up meeting has been scheduled as of yet.

Agenda for Rededication:
It will begin with an invocation, followed by remarks of Dan or Ray and conclude with a door prize drawing by Bill Barth. We have 15 gifts that have been donated to give away.

Lakeside Beach Water Quality Excellent:
The beach tested second best, out of eight total other areas last week. Only Rosy Mound tested better. The results will be posted each week at the Beach and in Village Hall.

MDOT Projects Still Planned:
The School Street deceleration lane is still planned for this Fall. The resurfacing project from Buchanan to Lake is planned for the next Fall.

Ferrysburg Council Approves Intergovernmental Agreement Change:
This agreement will be on your next agenda. The amendment increases the length from each year to ten years. Ferrysburg's Council also approved next year's budget.

Part-Time Officers Hired:
Two new part-time officers started this week. Adam Van Dis is from Zeeland and the Ryan Furman is from Shelby. Mike Williams is the field-training officer. This brings our part-time officers up to the full complement. Thanks to Roger and the Sergeants for addressing this time consuming and necessary task at the same time that we were moving.
