order at 7:30 p.m.

No reports or
statements of citizens were presented.
V. Report
by the Village Clerk/Treasurer:
A. Held
a public hearing to solicit public comment on a combined notice to the public
of no significant impact on the environment and notice to the public of a
request for release of funds for the proposed Lake Pointe project and for use
of up to $400,000 of CDBG funds from the Michigan Economic Development
Corporation at 917 West Savidge.
Subject: This public hearing was not required. It was desirable, however, to solicit public
comments on the proposed Lake Pointe project and its impact on the
environment. An environmental report
was placed in the Village Hall for public inspection as per the required
advertisement on June 14, 2005. The
results were that there was no impact from the project.
No
public action was needed. Minutes of
this meeting would be delivered to the state Michigan Economic Development
Corporation as part of the full-fledged grant application when due. A subsequent public hearing would be held on
August 1 on the full grant application.
The Village President declared the public
hearing open at 7:31 p.m.
No public attended the meeting.
On
a motion by Fischer, support from Holland, the Village Council closed the
public hearing at 7:32 p.m.
