New
Businesses to be Featured in Crosswinds: So far, the
Ship and Shop has a small coupon and the new location for Edward Jones will get
a blurb. I will be contacting all other
new stores in the last year to assist in the public’s knowledge as well. Barber Bill will be the featured story. Bill Filber will be the featured Council
member.
Notice
Period for Mill Point Station Potential MEDC Grant to Begin Soon: This 30-day period was noticed by Joy and
Maribeth today. We are well on track for
the various deadlines. We will easily
make a mid-February deadline for the property to close.
Master
Plan SWOT Analysis: The group was pretty uniform
on the good things about living here.
The issue of taxes and the need to protect water quality and water views
and water access were stressed however.
The next meeting to prioritize strategies is set for Monday,
January 23rd.
Village
Staff to Ring the Bells for Salvation Army: We
did so last year and will do so again by sponsoring the ringing on Friday, December 16th
at Orchard Market.
New Council Orientations: Bill and I will be meeting with Mark and Ryan on
Friday, December 2nd at 8 AM for breakfast at the Holiday Inn
followed by a tour. All are welcome!
Parks and Recreation Board: This group met Wednesday, November 30. The engineers were present and the group
recommended the Grand River Greenway alignment to the Council with several
refinements. This will be on the January
3rd work session.
***Upcoming Meetings***
Holiday Home Tour and Village Hall: Saturday 1-6 and Sunday 1-5. Stop in for free and see what Fred Holland
has created this time! Mary has the tree

Village Hall has never looked so good, nor might it ever again!!!
Village Christmas Party: Friday, December 9 at 6:30PM at
North Bank Meeting and Christmas Reception: Wednesday, December 14 at 3:30 PM. The business portion of the meeting will be a
presentation on the M-104 Access Management Study. Good stuff if you can get it on the
